Ever since I launched Helixwire on December 2019, I created affiliate marketing resources and tools guide for beginners to let you know what tools I use for blogging and how I build successful affiliate marketing websites through partnering with the companies to promote their products.
In this article, I assembled a comprehensive list of tools, services and providers that I have personally used and through recommendations. Over the time, I will be adding tools, services and providers to the affiliate marketing resources and tools for beginners.
The purpose of the affiliate marketing resources and tools is to guide beginners who may be interested in starting their very first money-making website. As you can see, it’s pretty easy to get your first website up and running. So, without further ado here is list of what I use and through recommendations.
I am an avid consumer of WordPress, one of the largest blogging platform that exists nowadays. I have been using WordPress for several years and I have not build any blogs on a different platform at all. WordPress is still the preferred choice for majority of bloggers today.
WordPress is absolutely free and often comes bundled with your hosting service provider (I use SiteGround as my hosting service provider, but I will talk more about it in details soon). There is a few blogging platforms that I know of, but your obviously first choice should be WordPress.
- WordPress – Free hosted blogging platform.
- Blogger – Free hosted blogging platform that is owned by Google.
- Wix – Another free hosted blogging platform.
Web Hosting Service Providers
I absolutely love SiteGround for a number of reasons. Before I discovered SiteGround, I used to host my websites at HostGator and their poor customer services was the final straw that broke camel’s back for me. Ever since I moved all of my websites over to SiteGround, my experience has been overwhelming positive.
The representatives are very knowledgeable and well-equipped to help out with whenever issues you have with your websites. The speed is incredible good and security is well built against hackers, malware and spammers — a must-have features for SEO-boosted ranking. Though, SiteGround is a bit expensive compared to other hosting service providers. It’s the price you pay for the best hosting service provider on Earth right now.
You can easily get your blog up and running at SiteGround for as low as $3.95 a month via here.
A few of popular hosting service providers I also highly recommend for anyone who is interested in getting started with their blogs:
- SiteGround (My preferred hosting plan service provider).
- Wealthy Affiliate (Recommended for launching money-making websites).
- A2 Hosting (Affordable, great for bloggers who are interested in affiliate marketing).
- DreamHost (Cheapest hosting plans for those on budget).
One of the best and easiest way to get started with affiliate marketing is to become an affiliate marketer at Amazon. They have one of the highest conversion rate and countless of products to work with. No matter what niche you are in, you will have no issue finding products to promote within your website.
The conversion rate is pretty high, averaging around 80% which is impressive for a behemoth e-Commerce website. Although, the commission rate that you earn for each successful sale isn’t exactly that high. You will earn roughly 3% for each sale and they must be purchased within 24 hours of clicking on the referral link.
However, the cookie duration extends to 90 days if the customer adds the product to their cart. Alternatively, you can sign up at Share-A-Sale if you prefer to work with merchants who offers high commission sales and longer cookie duration. The conversion rate at SAS is a bit lower compared to Amazon but you definitely can build sizable passive income if you are that willing to invest your time and effort.
Ultimately, you will want to climb the ladder as you become proficient at affiliate marketing. You will want to diversify your nest egg by partnering with other affiliate programs. Eventually, you want to move away from Amazon to focus on products sold by SAS, ClickBank and even Rakuten as they offer higher commission rate and longer cookie duration.
- Amazon (Easiest affiliate program to get started at entry-level)
- Share-A-Sale (Good alternative affiliate program with higher commission sale)
- ClickBank (Great place to get high commission sales)
Affiliate Marketing Courses
There’s a lot of affiliate marketing courses, but I had handpicked the best of all just to make your life easier. Throughout my time blogging, I have heard of these affiliate marketing courses and checked them out. I even trialed them to see how they help affiliate marketers grow and succeed.
Affiliate marketing courses is completely optional, but it’s hard to fail at affiliate marketing once you get to learn through their streamline and dynamic learning courses. Personally, I recommend Wealthy Affiliate because it is one of the biggest affiliate marketing platform today with plenty of things to learn.
But any of these affiliate marketing courses will do you good with building a sizable passive income stream:
