Tesla Update Leaks Upcoming Changes for Model S and Model X

Attention all Tesla-owners, this year will be the first update of 2020 that recently started rolling out to all Model S and Model X cars. Researcher Greentheonly dive deep to see what the potential next Tesla update is going to be about. According to his tweet, he says that the next Telsa update 2020 will come soon for Model S and Model X cars which will include built-in wireless Qi Charger, new suspension version and of course, new seats.

For some of you who are not familiar what a Qi charger is. This basically works by having two induction coils that are built into wireless charging sations. When an electric vehicle is parked on a charging station, the induction coils will act as different component which is known as transformer. This allows the coils to generate electromagnetic field and direct the electrical current to device, thereby charging it wireless.

It is known that Tesla update their existing models with new configurations. The latest update for the Model S was way back in 2016. So, it does makes sense that both Model S and Model X are due for some changes. Last year, there were some sights of possible refreshed Model S on the streets. Elon Musk confirmed that the high-performance Plaid Model S is scheduled to arrive this year with larger battery packs than its previous iterations.

Few weeks ago, Tesla filed an application to patent chemical formula which is designed to double the battery lifecycle. This sparks a competition among the automakers to transform the market and race to deliver electrical vehicles at a much more affordable price. The introduction of extended battery capacity will significantly reduce upfront fees and extend the lifespan. Making it easier to capture a much wider part of the company’s audience base.

Elon Musk is also aiming to accomplish one of his biggest goal: to build and create a battery that will last for one-million miles. While this goal seems impossible, Elon Musk and his companies are known for accomplishing the impossible. The introduction of one million miles battery could become a reality someday in the future.

Stay tuned for more news on Tesla update regarding to Model S and Model X cars.
